Sunday Encouragement-Come To Me

We have had such a busy few days. As I was thinking of scripture today this is the one that kept popping in my head.

Come to me....
Anyone feeling a little weary? Anyone have a burden? Do you need rest?

Scripture reminds us that there is someone who we can give our burdens to. Someone who can help us if we are weary today. He can give us rest.

His name is Jesus and he says, Come to me.

If you’re feeling weary and burdened this song is a good reminder that we are loved!

I see You in the sunrise
I see You in the rain
I see You in the laughter
I feel You through the pain

Everything that You have made is beautiful
Oh, my God, I can’t believe my eyes
But in all of this to think that You would think of me
Makes my heart come alive

CHORUS
Your love is like a mighty fire deep inside my bones
I feel like I could climb a thousand mountains all at once
And I never have to wonder if somebody cares for me
I love the Maker
And the Maker loves me

I see You, You are creation
I see the grandness of Your majesty
The universe is singing all Your glory
I can’t believe You live inside of me

Everything that You have made is beautiful
Oh, my God, I can’t believe my eyes
But in all of this to think that You would think of me
Makes my heart come alive

CHORUS

More than just some words upon a page
You’ve shown me in a million ways
But there is one that stands above them all
Hands of creation on a cross

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. God is so good to bring we women of faith together through cyber space. How mighty He is. Thank you Cyndi for the blessing you are to so many!

  2. I so needed these encouraging words today: “And I never have to wonder if somebody cares for me. I love the Maker. And the Maker loves me.”

Today I find myself feeling hopeless, yet I have so many blessings and so much to be thankful for. I’m thankful that the Lord knows just when to send us His thoughts and promises through someone’s obedience to share His message.

Although things in our life may seems so out of sorts and I sometimes question if God is truly hearing my prayers, all I really need to know is that I love the Maker and the Maker loves me. There is no better assurance than that and that is truly all I (we) need.

Cyndi, thanks for continuing to be obedient to your call by sharing your words of wisdom, inspiration and hope through this blog. You are such a blessing!

    1. Cathy I’m so sorry that you’re feeling hopeless. Please know that your HOPE is in Jesus!
Believe me, I sometimes feel he doesn’t hear my prayers but I’m reminded over and over in scripture that he does hear.
      Keep seeking Him,
      Cyndi

  3. Amen! I love the Maker and the Maker loves me!! Thanks, Cyndi for taking the time to post this after all your busy days!!

  4. Cyndi thank you so much for this inspirational message, I really needed to hear this, I will be praying for you and your husband Sherrie. Everyone have a blessed week.

  5. Hi Cyndi
I have so enjoyed your daily emails since finding you about a month ago. I find you a great source of inspiration, both in the dressing of my body and the dressing of my spirit. I am always so interested to see what you chose to wear and how I can use it as a guide for myself. But one day last week I was especially struck by your picture for the day. You were standing inside and next to you was the sign that has the verse on it about trusting in the Lord. I had been praying for weeks about that very thing and asking God to help me to be a woman of great faith. The day I saw you with that sign my husband was laid off from his job. Not exactly what I had in mind when I asked God to make me a woman of great faith! I have to admit I was a little shaky that day but your sign with that verse really ministered to me. I have had that verse memorized for years but I needed to be reminded of it. Of course it makes perfect sense that to have great faith I will need to be in a situation where that faith is exercised so it can grow and strengthen like a muscle. But I have to admit that it is not a pleasant place to be right now. The one thing I know is that He loves me and my husband, He is walking through this with us, and that He will provide for us. Thank you so much for your time and effort for all of us and especially for the daily encouragement and reminders of how much we are loved by him.
    Sherrie

    1. I will pray for you, Sherrie. God must surely have something even better in mind for you and your husband. Stay strong in your faith!

    2. Sherrie I’m so sorry about your husband’s job. But you’re right He does love you both very much!!
Praying for you both and praying you will feel his presence.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi
