Several weeks ago Colt, our 4 year old grandson, said something that made me laugh. We were walking through a narrow path headed toward the beach. He saw footprints in the sand and knew someone had been there. Colt exclaimed, “It’s a mystery Cici, it’s a mystery!”.

I had no idea he knew what the word mystery meant but obviously he did, and he likes a mystery! Since then, we have said that phrase, “it’s a mystery!” on several occasions.

We were at a corn maze a few weeks ago, Colt was trying to find his way out.

We kept saying, it’s a mystery!

But thankfully we figured out how to get out of the maze, and the mystery was solved!

Oh happy day! Later, I was thinking about Colt saying it’s a mystery, I thought about the mystery that is talked about in scripture.

The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:26-27

Jesus Christ is the mystery and He has brought hope to all who will accept him. No matter where you’re from, no matter if you’re rich or poor, no matter your age, no matter the color of your skin.

JESUS IS OUR HOPE. MYSTERY SOLVED!

It’s important we share this mystery (called the Good News) and it can start with those closest to us. I think Colt is going love hearing about the mystery and the hope of Jesus.
