What Does God Want From Us in 2019?

Well, we have made it through the first few weeks of 2019! If you’re like me, you’ve been thinking about the year ahead. One thing I have been asking myself is “What does God want me to do in 2019?”

I love what Exodus 9:16 says, But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.

We are here at this time in history to proclaim Jesus and to know His power! But let’s be honest sometimes life gets in the way, and we forget our purpose.

Maybe you’ve had a great start to the new year, or maybe it’s started very difficult. The new year started out sunny but now everything has changed and dark clouds seem to be hovering over you.

Life is full of ups and downs, and change is to be expected. The one thing we know will never change is God’s word.

So no matter how your year has started remember to cling to His word because that’s where you will find hope, and truth.

  • For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in loving kindness to all who call upon You. Psalm 86:5
  • O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. 1 Chronicles 16:34
  • O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8
  • For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:5

Oh, give us the faith to trust Him!

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. Hi Cyndi! I love reading your blog every day! My Dad passed in October and you are just so uplifting, genuine and kind. Thank you for being there!

  2. I tend to get a bit overwhelmed at the beginning of a year putting pressure on myself to accomplish the goals that i sense God wants in my life! I have learned the hard way to take one day at a time with Him and just listen day by day following HIS agenda and not mine! May we all focus on kingdom work in 2019! Lord help me not to miss opportunities to share you with others! I love your blog Cyndi! Thank you for investing in others 😘

  3. These are some tuff times in our world
right now but we need to look to Him for
the answers, He will show us the way.
Have a blessed evening and week ahead!!

  4. Thank you Cyndi for sharing bible scripture as well as clothing ideas. You are truly an inspiration and a true testimony to what a Proverbs 31 woman reflects in her daily life!

  5. As I began this New Year, I, too, reflected on the past year and asking our Lord to guide me in His plan for this year. I find following Him daily is an adventure…you never know what He has in store for us. Thank you for the scriptures you shared today. I’m looking forward to following you this year and seeing what you have to share with us.

  6. Blessed Sunday to you as well, Cindy!

I was thinking about your question:
What does God want from us in 2019?

One of my first thoughts is, no one knows what the next year will bring. We don’t even know what the next day will bring. But…given that, as the Lord leads us through our days, I think the greatest gift we can give him is our total trust in Him, no matter what happens. Jesus, I trust in You! Will He allow me the “fellowship of His sufferings”? Can I let the things He allows help tenderize my heart toward others, and judge them less? Can I graciously accept the joys and pains, knowing whatever the mixture, His presence will go with me and never leave me? This year, Lord, let us see You! in everything.

  7. Hi Cindy, just wondering what Bible study you’re doing now on Sundays? It’s always refreshing to get your emails! Thanks again!

  8. so sorry — I sent my comment before I proofread. I don’t know why the word cuts was in this comment. Lol. Have a great day!!!

  9. I Have been meaning to text sooner and say I’m so sorry about how you snd yoyr husbamd were sad a few years ago due to something. I wondered if you had ever thought of cute sharing your experience. I ask this because you are truly a beautful and kind young lady and I bet your experience could minister to so many others. 😄 Thank you so much for all you do!! Your blog is a blessing to me and others and you are a very hard worker. God bless!! Thank you again for all you do for all of us 😄✝️

  10. Happy Sunday Cyndy!

My question is how do you organize your closet? With so many clothes, shoes, purses what is your secret?

Thank you for being so upbeat all the time. Your blogs are fun and very useful.

  11. Hi Cyndi, I love your blog. I especially love when you show several ways to wear the outfits, like outfits for fall or winter or holiday wear. It makes it easy to take pieces you have And how to put the outfits together. And it is nice to see how styles look with an outfit before ordering!

    Blessings,
    Gigi Hamrick

  12. Thank you for all the inspirational posts you do!!! I look forward to reading them everyday. Do you use eyelash serums or have a suggestion for a really good one?

  13. I have gotten great outfit ideas from your blog and feel like you’ve helped me make my wardrobe more current. I’m actually having fun picking out outfits for the first time in my life! I’m just curious about this fasting thing — do you not eat until noon? How do you have the energy to exercise or not pig out at noon? And you’ve shard dinner ideas, but what do you like for lunch? How do you handle going out to dinner? I really wanted to sign up for FASTer, but I tried 11am-7pm eating on my own and couldn’t make it work with children and a social life. I’d love some tips before I pay the money to sign onto the program.

  14. I really enjoy your blog!!

This sounds silly, but it would be helpful if you shared your inseam length (height spreads out so differently on different shapes) and maybe could point out where the waist band is on the pants you are highlighting. Legs and waists are all different even on the same heights, if that makes sense.

    Thank you!

  15. I love your blog of fashion and the uplifting messages. Please share some fashion with flat shoes – tall girls always seem to be ignored even though the models are usually about 5’10”.

  16. In regard to your question and answer post: I would love to find out what christian authors and women you get inspiration from.

  17. Going forward a focus on what the spring trends look like for those of us mature women :)) also….how to keep our winter outfits fresh for the remainder of winter……..and i live in upper michigan where we have winter until april :((((((

  18. I too love your BFTH uplifting moments. It is a light in a dark world.

I would like to hear about your work out routine, what leg and core exercises you do as well as a make up tutorial.

    Love your blog!! God bless.

    1. I don’t. We felt like we were too busy for a dog so we gave her to the sweetest family with a little girl that loves and plays with her.

  19. I look forward to your blog every day. I enjoy your BFTH moments and I take many of your verses to add to my journal. I’m still in goal mode to read and study more of God’s word and yes on another note purge and declutter. Upstairs is done now we are working on the ever dreaded basement lol. I’d like to know what exercises you do for your legs? Seeing as you’ve been sporting leggings a lot lately and how you fit exercise into your daily routine? Also is there anything in fashion or daily life yiu just don’t like?
Enjoy your day and all the best as you begin your study. I have a lunch to prepare for today as well…
    blessings
    Karen

  20. Wondering if you are going to start sharing recipes/snacks and ideas for FWTFL on a regular basis? I know you had said something about it some time ago. I would really like that!

  21. Love your style! Love your heart, because I see Him! Fashion question – you always look great when you put on anything with heels. But Iam 6 ft tall and prefer to wear flats or small heels. Would love to see posts highlighting these. Also, would love a post or tutorial showing how you choose a proper fitting pair of jeans or pants. Thank you Vyndi.

  22. Love your daily bible versus I look forward to them every morning . If I didn’t have the lord I wouldn’t have anything to turn to my husband lost his voice to throat cancer and I praise God for my faith and true friends I love your daily outfits and I love your post I just found you
Looking forward to your spring outfits going to Fla in feb.
