God Won’t Fail Us: 5 Promises to Hold On To When You’re Feeling Anxious

Life is uncertain. We can never know for sure what the future holds, which can sometimes make us feel anxious and stressed.

While I can’t see the future, I know the one who can, and I know He is faithful. He has proved it to me over and over again.

God won’t fail us, and if you’re feeling anxious today, here are 5 promises to hold on to:

1. God will never leave you nor forsake you.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

2. He will give you the strength to overcome your challenges.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

3. He will provide for all your needs.

Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Luke 12:24

4. He will heal your broken heart and restore your joy.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

5. He will give you hope for the future.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

These verses remind us of God’s faithfulness and that He is with us. He is our firm foundation!

We are not promised that life will be easy or that we won’t hurt, but we can know that we are not alone and God is always faithful. His our firm foundation!

    Beautiful song gave strength too.

  5. Thank you for the messages of faith. Your blog came to my attention at a time when my faith was low and life was difficult. I so much enjoy reading about how others deal with adversity through faith – it makes the days brighter and more meaningful!

  6. Cyndi I am a Strutter alumna and love your blog and beautiful encouragement to trust the Lord. I still mentor Strutters in walking with Christ—had a pizza party for 24 of the current line Friday night. God is working among them so beautifully. God bless you, sweet sister. Diana McGinty Schick

  7. Thank you, Cyndi for the list of books to read. I too sometimes deal with anxiousness. These sound very helpful. ❤️

  8. Thank you Cyndi for this post. It’s another reminder not to be afraid. This past week I have been fighting cellulitis on my leg that started with a bee sting last Sunday. Thank God I am a lot better. I’m also grateful to the second doctor I went to who changed my antibiotic making a big difference. Things can happen so suddenly in our lives. We have to trust in God. Jesus told us not to be afraid many times. I made myself
remember that when I became afraid and anxious. Thank you for all the scripture verses.

  9. Thank you Cyndi, love this!! I get the craziness with grandkids. We have had 4 for the last three days. It’s fun trying to get out of the house on time.😂

  10. Hi Cyndi,
