Steadfast In Our Faith

Hi ladies! I hope you’ve had a good weekend. I was home most of the day yesterday and was able to get prepared for the week ahead.

Last night, Wayne and I went to the hospital to spend time with our friends who are losing a loved one to cancer. She is young (only 42 years old), and she’s on the hospice floor. It looks like her time here is almost over.

We drove home and talked about how fleeting this life is. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. James 4:14 says it like this: Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

It’s a good reminder to live our life to the fullest! Each day is a gift.

1 Corinthians 15:8 says, Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

This verse encourages us to remain steadfast in our faith, no matter our challenges. The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our faith, and our labor in the Lord is not in vain.

I don’t know what you’re walking through today, what discouragement you’re facing, what challenges you’re facing, but let me encourage you to be steadfast.

That cancer, that hurt, that betrayal, that anxiety will not have the last word. Jesus is our foundation, and He will have the victory.

  • If you’re tempted to give up, don’t. Jesus is your hope.
  • If you’re feeling discouraged, remember you are not alone. Jesus is with you.
  • If you’re feeling overwhelmed, focus on one day at a time. Remember, this is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

This song reminds us that we are not alone.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Let your beauty shine from the inside out today!
