What He’s Done

This week, I’ve been listening to the song, What He’s Done, on repeat. I love listening to praise music all the time, but especially when I feel stressed or anxious.

This song is a good reminder of What God’s Done…Jesus paid it all for us. Oh, how thankful I am that he died for a sinner like me.

A friend of ours lost her husband this week. They are an amazing couple, and he had just retired from full-time ministry as a pastor. He was a runner and ran marathons.

She shared a sweet testimony on Facebook and ended with this, “My family and I are looking forward to sharing with you the constant presence of Jesus that we experienced through this journey.”

Isn’t that just how God works? When we are going through some of the deepest pain, like losing a loved one, he shows up in a mighty way, and I love that my friend wants to share it.

This is how we want to live as believers. We shine Jesus! In the good, in the bad, in the hard, all glory to Jesus.

Ladies, I’m praying for you today. Whatever our day holds, let’s shine Jesus!

You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:14-16

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

  1. Cyndi,
Prayers for your friend and her family and prayers for Wayne. I hope the episode today was nothing serious. I did want to ask if you had an advent devotional you were going to use this season. I loved the one you recommended last year. Again, prayers headed your way.

  2. What a beautiful song, praying for your daughter and grandchildren. Ours are just getting over chickenpox.🫤

  3. Please keep my granddaughter in your prayers this week as she has surgery on Friday to rebuild her foot. She was born like this. They have told us that if she doesn’t have surgery she’ll not walk by age 17 or 18. She is 11 and so active. A dancer and does cheerleading. Appreciate your prayers
    Sincerely
    Cindy Horsley

      In Jesus’ Name

      Give Him the Glory

  4. You are a light in this dim world ! Continue sharing your stories . Praying for your family ! Have a blessed Sunday !

  5. Same “ick” going around here – I hope you stay well. I too just lost my best friend’s husband after a brief illness. Prayers to you 🙏🏼💔

  6. Good morning, Cyndi! I hope you have a blessed Sunday. Thank you for sharing this beautiful post. Let’s never forget what he has done.❤️ Hope everyone gets well and and Wayne and you don’t get sick.🙏

  7. Yes that is going around here too. We just had my Aunts memorial and my three adult kids and their families missed it due to this type virus. Hope your family heals quickly and you both don’t catch it. Thank you for the sweet devotional. God is good. In my Aunt’s most difficult days before she passed, she wrote a handwritten note that her daughter found, asking God for forgiveness and ask Him to come into her life. She was a quiet, sweet soul and our family always prayed she’d find the Lord and she did. God is so good to take us how we are, anytime, to live eternally with Him. Thank you Jesus. Have a great Sunday. I’m all off schedule with the time change. Woke up super early.

  8. Sore throat and achy body sounds like the flu! Hope you don’t get it!
Thanks for your words from God to encourage us
