We have all experienced hurt, and pain, and even loss. We wonder at times, “why do I have to suffer?”
Remember, we aren’t seeing everything. There are things going on behind the scenes that we can’t comprehend on this side of heaven.
John Piper says, “God is always doing 10,000 things in your life, and you may be aware of three of them.” We only see a tiny part of what God is doing in our life, and many times it doesn’t make sense.
Having a relationship with God doesn’t mean we won’t suffer. Sin affects everyone, and because of that, we all experience pain and hardship. The difference is that God promises to be with those who trust in Him.
Psalm 34:19 says, “A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.”
This doesn’t mean life will be easy, but that we will have help overcoming difficult times.
Remember there is more to our story! 1 Corinthians 13:12 says, “Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.”
Mercy Me has a new song that is powerful and reminds us that our hope is in Christ alone.
Have a blessed Sunday!
